iHost Solutions maintains and operations two data center facilities within the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area.
Each facility is monitored via an alarm system managed by a third party security firm, which will initiate an escalation procedure to manage any potential incident. Additionally, elements within are protected by redundant fire systems (HALON) and climate control.
24 hours a day/7 days a week/365 days a year (24/7/365), iHost Solutions’ infrastructure is monitored by internal and external (Alertsite) services to detect network outages or anomalies. Both simple and complex monitors are setup to validate server uptime and server continuity. When a down state is identified, alerts are triggered that may result in either an attempt to resolve the issue automatically or to escalate the event to an appropriate party.
Our network infrastructure is complete with redundant Internet connectivity via circuits from several Tier 1 providers (AT&T, Global Crossing, Time Warner). The term Tier 1 connectivity refers to Internet Service Providers (ISPs), which are directly connected to the Internet via at least two of the six national access points.
